Degree of difficulty requirements for Olympic Team Trials to be modified

Upon recommendation of the High Performance Director and in accord with the provisions of section I.B.2.B.19) of the USA DIVING, INC. ATHLETE SELECTION PROCEDURES 2012 Olympic Games, which provides

19)       All athletes who qualify for the Olympic Trials individual events must also meet the minimum degree of difficulty for their lists of dives for the Olympic Trials as follows: 

                            Women           Men
3-meter                13.5             18.0
10-meter              14.0             18.5

NOTE:  USA Diving reserves the right to modify the above minimum degrees of difficulty on or before December 31, 2011. In the event such a modification is made, it will be communicated to the membership not later than January 15, 2012.

The CCE has made the following change in the minimum degree of difficulty for the women’s individual events.

                           Old DD           New DD
3-meter                14.0             13.5
10-meter              14.6             14.0

There are no changes in the men’s minimum degree of difficulty or the minimum degrees of difficulty for synchronized events.

The changes will be submitted to the USOC for approval.
