Summer is quickly approaching with a full slate of summer fun and promising weather on deck! Here at the Seattle Sports Commission we are gearing up for the SUBWAY® Washington Games, a part of the National Congress of State Games, which encompasses over 500,000 athletes across 40 states. The Games include the 3rd annual SUBWAY® 5k Gallop. On July 20th, this unique race will take you winding through the extensive Emerald Downs property, finishing around the track, just as the thoroughbreds do for the Longacres Mile. Children of all ages can also join in the fun with our Kid’s Dash, a 440-yard course held entirely on the track. Runners of all fitness levels from the Puget Sound region can enjoy this great family experience. A portion of entry fees from each runner benefits Special Olympics of Washington and their athletes.
