The Seattle Sports Commission (SSC) is focused on raising the sports profile of Seattle and the surrounding communities. By aggressively marketing our existing resources and targeting events that will generate a positive economic impact on the community, the SSC is taking a leadership role in growing and developing the region's sports industry. From youth sporting events to FIFA World Cup, the Pacific Northwest has all the tools to attract the world’s greatest amateur and professional athletes. Seattle has some of the finest sports facilities, hotels, restaurants and attractions that make it an ideal destination for the premier sports and recreational events. Criteria

Advocacy / Sports Partners Seafair, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks & Sounders FC, Seattle Storm, Unversity of Washington, Seattle University, Washington Stealth and more… Conventions The SSC teams up with the Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau to target sports and recreational conventions and meetings from around the country and world. Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Championships & Events The SSC will continue to work with the WIAA to facilitate more high school championships and events in the region, such as the Division III Basketball Championships and the Emerald City Kickoff Classic. |
