Howard Mudd, Coach | Seattle Seahawks-Howard Mudd was one of the most respected offensive line coaches in NFL history. He was on Seahawk staffs from 1978 to 1982 under Jack Patera and from1993 to 1997 under Tom Flores and Dennis Erickson. Mudd was an All-Pro player named to the NFL’s 1960’s All-Decade team, and later spent 38 years as an assistant coach for seven of the league’s teams. He died in 2020 from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash at age 78.
