Seahawks Arnold Named 90SSY Sports Leader | Raible & Babineaux to Host

Announcement

The Seattle Sports Commission is thrilled to announce this year's Sports Leader, presented by Alaska Airlines, is Chuck Arnold, Seahawks President.

Under Chuck’s leadership, the Seahawks organization is one of the strongest in the NFL, making an impact both on and off the field with a streak of 180 consecutive home game sellouts, supporting nearly 2,500 PNW charities and championing efforts to launch girls flag football programs at the high school level.

We're also excited to share that former SSY hosts and local sports legends Jordan Babineaux and Steve Raible share the hosting duties for the 90th Annual Sports Star of the Year Awards.

Jordan, known as "Big Play Babs" for his clutch performances during his nine-year NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans, retired from football and has become a sought-after speaker, leadership coach, and business consultant. Working with athlete-entrepreneurs, small business owners, and high performers, Jordan develops the mindset and strategies necessary to lead with confidence, build winning teams, and achieve lasting success.

Following a six-year career as an original Seahawks wide receiver Steve would become a multi Emmy-award-winning reporter and anchor who took to the airwaves at KIRO-7 News for almost thirty years. After retiring from the news desk in 2020, Raible continues to be the "Voice of the Seahawks" as the team's radio play-by-play announcer, a job he's held since 2004.
