Part walk, part run, part puzzle, Urban X sends teams across the heart of the city to discover Seattle through challenges, checkpoints and surprises at every turn. It's not a road race — it's an adventure-race and scavenger-hunt hybrid directed entirely by smartphone, rewarding equal parts wit and grit.
As Seattle prepares to welcome the world, the 2026 course celebrates the city at its best — the energy of a new NFL season kicking off at Lumen Field, the lasting World Cup legacy written across our streets in statues and murals, and the local culture and history that make this a city worth exploring on foot. Discovery the city, one checkpoint at a time
Each checkpoint pairs a piece of Seattle with a challenge — snap the World Cup mural, decode a clue at Union Station, ride the Light Rail one stop, or test your team at the Amazon Spheres. The faster and smarter you move, the higher you climb the leaderboard.
It's a celebration of movement, community and the Emerald City — the perfect way to experience Seattle as it gears up to welcome the world.
